Seasonal Shifts: Spring Cleaning For Commercial Spaces

Spring brings pollen, longer daylight that exposes everything, and the right moment to reset a tired facility. A practical checklist.

Spring is the most honest season for a commercial space. Longer daylight reveals dust on baseboards, residue on glass, and the wear winter put on entryways. It's also the right moment to reset.

A spring reset checklist

  • Detail interior glass and partition glazing — including the upper sections that get skipped weekly.
  • Carpet extraction across high-traffic zones, with attention to entryway runners.
  • High dusting of vents, light fixtures, and the top of cabinetry and door frames.
  • Restroom deep clean — descaling fixtures and grout, not just surface wiping.
  • Walk the exterior thresholds; salt and grit from winter migrate inside for weeks.

Why timing matters

A spring reset done in March or early April carries a building through the heaviest pollen weeks and into summer with cleaner air paths, fewer complaints, and a visibly sharper space.

If your facility hasn't had a calibrated spring program in a few years, it's a strong moment to schedule one.
